CARSON, Calif. (KABC) — The coyote that attacked a 4-year-old boy who was standing in his grandmother’s Carson driveway has been euthanized, wildlife officials confirmed.
The assault occurred Tuesday whereas the kid was close to his mom’s automotive. Surveillance footage captured the incident, displaying the boy being grabbed and pulled to the bottom by the coyote as his mom unloaded provides from the automobile.
The baby, Solomon, who turned 4 in February, was not severely injured. He was handled for superficial puncture wounds on certainly one of his legs and on his torso.
DNA testing linked the coyote to a different incident in Carson that happened again in February, in accordance with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The incident on Feb. 11 additionally concerned a toddler.

“It’s currently believed that the coyote responsible for the March 31 and February 11 attacks could be responsible for at least one of these additional reported attacks,” officials.
Officials say the coyote might have been drawn into the populated areas by the scent of meals waste, unsecured trash cans or pet meals that’s left outdoors.
Fish and wildlife officials added they’ve partnered with the USDA for extra ongoing trapping and seize efforts.
