Vinnie Jones, 61, has admitted that he was greatly surprised by what Brad Pitt was actually like after they met on the set of Snatch, directed by Guy Ritchie, who can be the brains behind the footballer-turned-actor’s newest mission, The Gentlemen. Vinnie admitted he was “surprised” that Brad wasn’t truly British, as a result of his “down to earth” angle.
The star, who’s returning to his position of Geoffrey Seacombe in season 2 of The Gentlemen, which debuts on Netflix from Thursday September 3, recalled a memorable event when spectators assumed he had introduced a Brad Pitt lookalike to Walthamstow’s greyhound racing stadium, having struck up a friendship with the Hollywood famous person. However, the previous defensive midfielder confessed that “mayhem” broke out as soon as the gang realised Brad was genuinely current on the venue alongside him.

Recounting the hilarious episode in an unique interview with Express.co.uk again in 2021, Vinnie revealed: “I remember the time Brad Pitt called me and said, ‘What are you doing?’
“And I mentioned, ‘I’m going to Walthamstow canine monitor’ and he mentioned, ‘I’m so bored, I’m at The Dorchester, can I include you?’ So he got here with us, and for a few hours everybody thought it was me messing round and I’d introduced a Brad Pitt lookalike to the canine monitor.
“But once they found out it was definitely him, it went a bit mayhem so we slid him out the back door.” (sic). Despite the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star being pressured right into a swift departure, he managed to get pleasure from steak and chips with Vinnie and his daughter on the former greyhound racing stadium beforehand.
Vinnie continued: “His driver got him and whisked him off but before, we had a couple of winners and he shared his steak and chips with my daughter.”

Applauding his co-star for remaining “down to earth” regardless of his international stardom, Vinnie added: “He’s down to earth, I used to play cards with him and he’s a great, great geezer.” He added: “I was surprised he wasn’t British actually, he’s so cool.”
Snatch was launched in 2000. The comedy/crime epic starred Vinnie and Brad, alongside Jason Statham and Benicio del Toro.
Vinnie has labored with some massive stars throughout his appearing profession, and he and co-star Joely Richardson lately teased that Liam Neeson might be becoming a member of the solid of The Gentlemen.
While showing on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Moneybox on Virgin Radio UK, Vinnie spilled that his co-star Joely’s brother-in-law, Liam, is “a big fan of the show” and that he texted him about it.
Joely then confirmed that Liam “loves Vinnie,” earlier than radio host Chris requested whether or not the actor might “get in on the act at some point”, to which the actress responded: “He might, he might.”
