A complete of £201,077 has been awarded to 47 organisations throughout the Thames Valley by the most recent spherical of the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner’s Community Fund.
The fund is collectively managed by Matthew Barber, Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner, and Chief Constable Jason Hogg.
It offers biannual grants to group and voluntary teams working to help the priorities within the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan.
Matthew Barber stated: “Amongst the wide range of applications received, we have provided funding to community and voluntary organisations who are focused on tackling a range of key policing priorities including security improvements including CCTV, supporting diversionary activities for young people and improving road safety.”
The fund is generated from the sale of things seized from criminals that can not be returned to their rightful homeowners.
It helps initiatives aimed toward decreasing crime and bettering public security.
Chief Constable Jason Hogg stated: “This funding supports community and voluntary organisations to run projects that play an important role in preventing crime and protecting our communities.”
Successful candidates have been invited to a presentation occasion in Oxford on Friday, May 8.
Organisations acquired between £500 and £7,000 every.
A complete of 287 functions have been submitted, totalling greater than £2 million in requested funding.
The scheme helps flip the proceeds of crime into optimistic motion.
