The Kingsmere development is the final stage of the South West Bicester development, between Middleton Stoney and Oxford Road, which was granted planning permission in 2008.
Over almost a decade, it has resulted in a complete of 1,585 houses, plus employment area and faculties, a neighborhood centre, resort and different services.
Work first started on the key housebuilding scheme in July 2010.

Now, the ultimate 72 new houses and a 75-bed care home are set to be constructed by Countryside Properties (Bicester) Ltd after Cherwell District Council resolved to grant planning approval to the scheme.
This represents the final parcel of the development nonetheless to be delivered, which is anticipated to start in 2027.
James Harkin, head of Vistry Strategic Land, stated: “This approval means we will transfer ahead with a sensible and deliverable answer for the ultimate section of Kingsmere, finishing a properly‑established and profitable group in Bicester.
“The approved plans will make an important contribution to local housing delivery, including affordable homes and specialist elderly care, while ensuring continued investment in healthcare provision elsewhere in the town.”
Of the brand new houses, 30 per cent might be delivered as ‘inexpensive housing’, and they are going to be constructed on the previous agricultural land west of Oxford Road, south of Bicester city centre.
