A care home has been given a glowing endorsement following an unannounced inspection.
Ancasta Grove, operated by Care UK in Sarisbury Green, was rated ‘good’ throughout all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) throughout a two-day complete evaluation.
Inspectors assessed the home throughout the CQC’s 5 key strains of enquiry: security, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness, and management.

The CQC report highlighted the personalised approach taken by staff, noting that care was tailored to residents’ individual needs, backgrounds, and preferences.
Inspectors found the team to be knowledgeable about each resident’s life history and aspirations, stating that the home treated people as individuals and ensured their care reflected their identities and wishes.
Relatives additionally praised the standard of care and the welcoming environment.

One family member shared how staff went above and beyond to organise a special outing for a resident’s birthday.
They said: “My relative had an enormous birthday earlier this yr and the employees organised a visit to an area maritime museum, and we had a private tour behind the scenes.”
Another family member praised the staff’s friendliness and empathy.
