People residing close to the location at Silver Street, Hordle, say the scheme will lead to elevated noise, additional automobile actions and extra gentle air pollution.
As reported, Premier Inn Hotels has submitted a proposal to improve the ability by rising the whole of visitor rooms from 20 to 57.
The firm desires to convert a part of the lodge’s restaurant into ten bedrooms and construct a two-storey extension containing an extra 27 rooms.
But New Forest District Council has already obtained a number of letters of objection to the application.
It comes after critics complained that adjustments to the council’s Local Plan might lead to 3,650 new properties being in-built Hordle and neighbouring villages.
Bradley Kirby, of New Milton has family and friends residing in Hordle.
His letter of objection to the Premier Inn scheme says: “This pretty village is beginning to be ruined by the continual inflow of recent buildings and extra individuals. The present infrastructure is already struggling to sustain with the ever-growing numbers and site visitors.”

Silver Street resident Ann George says the scheme will lead to further noise and light-weight air pollution and quantities to overdevelopment.
She additionally fears the proposed extension will lead to “clear and harmful overlooking” of properties and gardens.
“The improvement proposes further lighting. Existing spotlights shine instantly into neighbouring bedrooms all through the evening. The introduction of additional lighting will materially worsen gentle air pollution and sky glow.
“Given the semi-rural New Forest setting, this impact is particularly harmful and inappropriate.”
Fellow objector Nabee Ahmed cites the noise made by automobiles and supply automobiles.
“Car doors slamming, engines starting, and occasional loud exhausts already cause disturbance. Increasing the number of guest rooms will increase vehicle movements and associated noise.”
But Hordle Parish Council is supporting the application.
Describing the doubtless improve in automobile actions as “minimal”, it says further lodge visitors will profit the native vacationer business whereas proposed enhancements to the constructing will improve the road scene.
The application lists the measures that might be taken to restrict noise.
It provides: “Whilst the proposals would increase the number of guest bedrooms, any additional trips to the site would be offset by the fact that the associated restaurant would be removed.”
