Rangers star on international call-up and aims ahead of first cap

The former Peterborough United defender was referred to as up for the Super Eagles after pledging his international future to the African nation.

He’s gained a lot of reward for his shows for Rangers this season and now appears to be like set to win his first cap with Nigeria after boss Eric Chelle included him in his squad for the first time.

They are taking part in towards Iran and Jordan in a four-team event, which was switched from the unique venue in Jordan to Antalya in Turkey.



And he cannot wait to go and strive and make an influence.

Fernandez mentioned: “When the decision got here in from Nigeria, I couldn’t say no.

“There was no manner I might flip down an opportunity to play for an excellent soccer nation like Nigeria.

“The idea is to go in there and try and make my mark.”
