A motorcyclist who tragically died in a crash on a serious Stockport highway has been named. Emergency companies attended the A6 Buxton Road, in Hazel Grove, at round 3.30pm on Friday (March 20).
Greater Manchester Police says it was referred to as out to a crash involving a number of autos. A 39-year-old man, who was using a motorcycle, sadly died on the scene.
He has since been named as Anthony Neville Breed. In a tribute issued this morning (Monday), his household stated: “Anthony Neville Breed was a beloved son, brother and father. He has been taken from us too soon.”

The A6 was closed for a number of hours following the crash. An air ambulance was seen touchdown close by. Images confirmed the badly-damaged bike and two different autos contained in the cordon on Friday night, with particles on the highway.
No different accidents have been reported following the crash, GMP says. No arrests have been made, however the different motorists concerned have been helping officers with their enquiries.
A power spokesperson stated: “Our thoughts are with his family, who are being supported by specialist officers.” An investigation was launched by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit over the weekend.
