While Evans is thought for large funds Hollywood blockbusters like Clash of the Titans, The Hobbit, and Beauty and the Beast, the Welsh actor first began out in the theater. Among his stage credit are roles in the musicals Taboo, Rent, Miss Saigon and Avenue Q on London’s West End.

“It’s a big thing coming out to ‘Sweet Transvestite’ in six-inch stilettos towering over everybody.”
The Rocky Horror Picture Show revival is about to start previews later this week at Studio 54. Anticipation has reached a fever pitch because it’s being directed by Sam Pinkleton, who earned a Tony for his work on Cole Ecola’s hit comedy Oh, Mary!
Evans leads a proficient queer and ally solid that features Stephanie Hsu (Janet), Andrew Durand (Brad), Juliette Lewis (Magenta), Amber Gray (Riff Raff), Harvey Guillén (Eddie/Dr. Scott), Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (Columbia), Josh Rivera (Rocky), and Rachel Dratch (Narrator).
Ahead of the present’s premiere, Vogue launched first look pictures of the ensemble lensed by famend photographer Norman Jean Roy. As you’ll see, Evans proves he’s greater than able to filling Frank-N-Furter’s thigh-high boots!
“Frank can be flamboyant and feminine, slinky and sultry, but there’s a menace to him,” Evans informed Vogue.
“I want him to feel attractive in many, many different ways so that men and women can look at him and go, Hmmm.”
“Did I think it would be playing Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show? No,” Evans admitted to Broadway.com.
“But when the opportunity arose, I spoke to Sam Pinkleton many times and it all started to make sense to me in a strange way.”
“We want to create this bubble of crazy absurdity, love, joy and freedom to be who you want to be, and to enjoy the expression of that on stage with these characters that we’ve loved for half a century,” Evans mentioned of the manufacturing.
