In a press release earlier this month, Brende stated he had been “completely unaware of Epstein’s past and criminal activities” and wouldn’t have communicated or attended dinners with him had he recognized.
“I recognise that I could have conducted a more thorough investigation into Epstein’s history, and I regret not doing so,” he added.
