Cardi B is leveling up.
The “Money Bag” rapper shared how her breakup with ex Offset—from whom she filed for divorce in 2024 after seven years of marriage, although the cut up has not been finalized—sparked a significant private transformation.
“I feel like last year a new person was reborn,” she stated throughout the March 31 episode of the Aspire With Emma Grede podcast. “I don’t know if it was the divorce. I don’t know if something woke me up. I feel like I’m definitely a new person.”
As a consequence, the Grow-Good Beauty founder—who shares children Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 18 months, with the Migos alum in addition to a 4-month-old baby boy with Stefon Diggs—was extra motivated than ever to lock in professionally, even taking cues from different stars in constructing her personal empire.
“A lot of artists or celebrities that have really big, major businesses that are successful, they didn’t build their brand on the second or third year of being big celebrities,” she defined. “They built their brand when they [were] seven to eight to 10 years in the business, and I feel like right now is the perfect time.”
