Alan Carr revealed his dog went for a bagpiper’s sporran while at an event at his Scottish castle.
The incident passed off at Carr’s residence, Ayton Castle, within the Scottish Borders, in response to the 50-year-old comic on the most recent episode of his podcast, Life’s a Beach.
The castle is an A-listed constructing and described as one of many best examples of the Scottish baronial model.
In a dialog with US writer and humourist, David Sedaris, he spoke concerning the embarrassing second throughout an event through which he invited the piper to play at his £3.25m property.
In response to Sedaris’s account of a Mastiff attacking him while the proprietor lambasted him for not placing his bag down, Alan claimed he was an “irresponsible dog owner”.
Carr stated: “I recently moved up to Scotland and we had a bagpiper, and Rita, my deaf dog, attacked his sporran.”
Sedaris requested what a sporran was, and Carr defined it was the “hairy bit” on a person’s kilt.
He stated the piper informed him to “keep your dog under f****** control”.
Carr stated: “Instead of telling the dog off, I was slagging off the Scottish national dress – ‘It looks like a puppy you’ve got between your legs.’
“I should have said something, but you do get very protective about your dog. My dog can’t do anything wrong, and all she spends her time doing is doing things wrong.”
When Carr tried to defuse the scenario by asking the bagpiper what he put within the sporran, anticipating a “romantic” reply like whisky, the bagpiper replied, “My vape”.
Carr stated: “I was expecting a wee dram of whisky or a Robert Burns poem.”
The comic who gained the Celebrity Traitors final yr, is now embarking on a renovation journey to remodel Ayton Castle as a part of a brand new Disney+ sequence, Castle Man.
