Top-selling music artist coming to York on celebratory tour | YorkMix

The largest promoting classical artist of this century, Katherine Jenkins, has introduced a brand new tour for 2026 – and she or he’s coming to York.

The 25 Year Anniversary Tour is the primary tour for Katherine in 5 years and is ready to characteristic all her largest hits together with ‘Time To Say Goodbye’, the emotional ‘Jealous of the Angels’ and  ‘I Will Always Love You’ and extra.

Katherine Jenkins shall be at York Barbican on Thursday 15 October 2026.

Tickets will go on basic sale Friday 20 February via the York Barbican website.

Speaking on what it means to rejoice 25 years, Katherine stated: “Reaching twenty-five years in music is extremely emotional, however this tour is really a celebration of the followers who’ve been there from the very starting.

“To be heading out across the UK and Ireland for eighteen special shows feels less like a celebration of a career and more like a reunion with old friends and I can’t wait to stand on stage, look out into those familiar faces, and share it all over again.”

Katherine Jenkins OBE is formally the world’s most profitable classical singer, having been named The Biggest Selling Classical Artist of the Century by Classic FM and incomes a record-breaking 14 number-one albums since signing to Universal Classics at simply 22.

She burst onto the music scene in 2003 with a landmark efficiency at Westminster Cathedral honouring Pope John Paul II, adopted by appearances at main worldwide sporting occasions and on the Sydney Opera House.

A flexible artistic power, Katherine has carried out and recorded with most of the world’s main artists, made her West End debut in Carousel to vital acclaim, and earned tv recognition with appearances in Doctor Who, Dancing with the Stars (runner-up), and as a presenter on Songs of Praise.
