Two and a half weeks after the spring solstice two states are bracing for as much as 4 toes of snow and harmful 90 mph winds as a powerful winter storm hits this weekend.
The National Weather Service (*4*) amid the inclement climate.
“Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you must go outside, dress in layers,” the warning learn. “Several layers of clothes will keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat.”

4 Feet of Snow, 90 mph Winds Incoming for (*90*), Nevada
A storm from the Pacific is forecast to spin slowly towards (*90*) and Nevada later this week earlier than drifting inland over the weekend, Accuweather forecasted. While the storm is bringing some much-needed rain, there will even be heavy snowfall in sure areas.
The Sierra Mountains are expected to receive the brunt of the forecast with up for 4 toes of snow falling in Western Plumas County, Lassen Park-West Slope and Northern Sierra Nevada.
Meanwhile, within the Lake Tahoe area snow accumulations might attain as much as 28 inches whereas wind gusts alongside the Sierra crest attain 90 mph.

National Weather Service Issues Travel Warning
Residents have been warned to “delay all travel” if doable. However, if completely vital, drivers have been requested to journey with “extreme caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility.”
