The celebrations in honor of Our Lady of Piety, the Sovereign Mother of Loulé, start on the fifth, Easter Sunday, with the so-called Little Festival, wherein the picture of the saint descends from her sanctuary, at the prime of the hill, to the city middle.
As is custom, on Easter Sunday, beginning at 17:00 PM, the Festa Pequena procession will happen, “marked by an atmosphere of recollection and devotion,” culminating at the Church of São Francisco, “where the patron saint will remain until April 16th, after which she will depart for the Matriz Church,” in accordance to the Loulé City Council.
