SALINA, Kan. (WIBW) – A statewide Silver Alert was that was issued Thursday morning has been canceled after a missing Salina woman was discovered protected in western Kansas.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation introduced late Thursday morning that 75-year-old Yvonne Pereirra-Mcwhorter had been discovered protected in WaKeeney, situated 128 miles west of Salina on Interstate 70.
Officials earlier Thursday stated Pereirra-Mcwhorter’s whereabouts had been unknown, and the general public’s help was requested to assist find her.
Pereirra-Mcwhorter was believed to be driving a blue 2025 Nissan Pathfinder bearing Texas tag 6YGPZ.
Before she was situated, she was final noticed north of Norton on Thursday morning, March 12, officers stated.
Pereirra-Mcwhorter was described as a woman who’s round 5-foot-4 inches tall and weighs roughly 185 kilos. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and is thought to put on a medical identification bracelet. She is also sporting a splint on her proper hand.
