OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — Proponents of Dalilah’s Law gathered on the state capitol on Wednesday.
Dalilah’s Law is proposed federal laws that will strengthen business driver requirements. The legislation would prohibit states from issuing CDLs to drivers who don’t meet authorized standing necessities.
The legislation would additionally require English proficiency assessments for drivers and restrict eligibility to U.S. residents and particular work visa holders.
The proposed laws is known as after a 5-year-old who was severely injured when a semi-truck pushed by Partap Singh crashed into her household’s car in California. Dalilah was left with life-altering accidents.
OHP troopers posed with the ‘Stand with Dalilah’ truck on the state capitol on Wednesday. According to OHP, Oklahoma was chosen as the primary stop for the truck as a result of the state was the primary to take motion by passing the Oklahoma Secure Roads and Safe Trucking Act in 2025.
