Social Security payments in April will observe a standard schedule, with the primary payments hitting on April 8.
Social Security advantages – paid principally to recipients who are older or retired – are usually scheduled to exit on Wednesdays. On the second Wednesday of the month, payments are issued for beneficiaries whose birthdays fall between the primary and tenth days of the month (for April, that’s April 8), in response to the Social Security Administration’s calendar.
Recipients born between the eleventh and twentieth get paid on the third Wednesday (April 15) of the month; these born after the twentieth of the month are paid on the fourth Wednesday of the month (April 22), in response to the SSA calendar. Social Security recipients who started getting advantages earlier than May 1997 are scheduled to be paid on Friday, April 3.

April 2026 Social Security retirement advantages can be despatched out on the SSA’s ordinary schedule:
- Wednesday, April 8: Birth dates between the primary and tenth of the month.
- Wednesday, April 15: Birth dates between the eleventh and twentieth of the month.
- Wednesday, April 22: Birth dates between the twenty first and thirty first of the month.
SSI cost schedule for April and the remainder of 2026
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a program benefitting these with restricted or no earnings or sources, these aged 65 or older, and those that are blind or have a qualifying incapacity. Children with a qualifying incapacity are additionally eligible for SSI, in response to the SSA website.
