A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in impact for Cook, DuPage, Kane and Will counties till 11:15 p.m. Monday.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in impact Boone, Cook, DeKalb, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, LaSalle, Lake (Ill.), McHenry, Will, Racine, Walworth and Kenosha counties till 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Meteorologists Phil Schwarz and Cheryl Scott mentioned strong storms may produce large hail and damaging winds. There is a low twister menace, and flooding is feasible.
Several rounds of scattered, strong storms started hitting the Chicago space after 10 p.m. Monday.
Areas north of the town are at highest danger for extreme storms.
More storms are doable in a single day and into early Tuesday earlier than the realm will get a break in exercise.
