DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – Thousands of shoppers throughout Central Illinois misplaced power Monday morning as sturdy and extreme storms raced throughout the state.
At its peak, round 7,500 prospects have been with out power throughout a number of counties. Sangamon, Moultrie, and Champaign counties reported the biggest outages.
As of two:15 p.m. power had been restored to most. In Sangamon County, fewer than 500 have been with out electrical energy. In Champaign County, the outages have been lower than 20.
Statewide, round 28,000 prospects have been with out power.

A line of sturdy and extreme storms moved by way of the realm Monday morning, at instances with wind gusts over 50 miles per hour, hail, and heavy rain.
