Seattle police report Rainier Beach drive-by shooting, second this week

Officers say they responded to reviews of automated gunfire close to 51st Avenue South, Rainier Avenue South and Barton Place South, discovering greater than 50 shell casings.

SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department is investigating an alleged drive-by taking pictures in south Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood, days after a reportedly comparable episode of violence close by.

Just days earlier, on Wednesday afternoon, an 18-year-old was injured in another drive-by shooting in south Seattle, police stated.

The taking pictures reportedly occurred close to Rainier Avenue South and South Othello Street.

Police stated {the teenager} was a passenger in a car that was struck by gunfire. A bullet grazed his head, and he was transported to Harborview Medical Center in secure situation, detectives stated. 

More than 30 bullet casings had been discovered throughout three associated crime scenes in that case, and extra proof was recovered close to Holly Park Drive South and South Myrtle Place. A car with bullet injury was later discovered close to the South Precinct, police stated.

Police haven’t introduced any arrests in both case.
