ORLANDO, Fla. – After News 6 anchors Matt Austin and Ginger Gadsden roasted the latest batch of new “Pub Subs” final week, the corporate has lastly responded.
Both anchors tried the Pub Subs — this time based mostly round brisket sandwiches — although they weren’t too happy with how these new deli choices got here out.
“Out of 10? I gave it a four,” Austin claimed.

Afterward, Publix spokeswoman Hannah Herring reached out to reply to the low rating.
“We saw the clip of DJ, Matt and Ginger talking about the new brisket subs, and we just can’t settle for being ‘mid!’” she wrote. “We’d love the opportunity to make it up to them with a special delivery.”
And certainly, Publix got here by way of, bringing in a brand new batch of Pub Subs for Austin and Gadsden to attempt on Friday afternoon.
This time round, the anchors had a a lot better perspective.
“It was much better today; I’ll just tell you that. Better deal,” Austin stated. “But they also brought the philly cheesesteak and the chicken tender sub.”
“Now, I think my chicken tender (sub) has moved to the second spot because I tried a new sub today,” Gadsden chimed in. “It was really good.”
