PIAA state wrestling 2026 championships at Hershey live blog Saturday

Faith Christian junior Joey Bachmann (152) grabbed a lead with a second-period escape and made it rise up as he posted a 1-0 win over Grove City senior Hudson Hohman to win his third-straight PIAA Class 2A title. He completed the season with a 27-3 file.

10 from Bucks County going for gold

Ten wrestlers from Bucks County might be searching for gold medals within the PIAA finals, which start at 4 p.m. at the Giant Center in Hershey.

In Class 2A, Faith Christian, which can also be attempting to win it fourth-straight group title, can have 5 wrestlers within the finals. They are: sophomore Freddy Bachmann (127), junior Joey Bachmann (152), and seniors Adam Waters (189), Cael Weidemoyer (215) and Mark Effendian (285). 

In Class 3A, Central Bucks West senior Chris Dennis (172) seems to be to grow to be the varsity’s first PIAA wrestling champion.

In women, seniors Ashley Stank (100) and Caroline Hattala (190) of Quakertown are in search of their second PIAA titles whereas Conwell-Egan senior Julia Horger (106) can declare her third state title with a win. At 170, Palisades senior Bryce Snyder is seeking to win her first PIAA gold medal.
