WEST CALN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was killed during a traffic stop in Chester County on Sunday night time, authorities stated.
According to investigators, Corporal Timothy O’Connor responded round 8 p.m. to a name about an erratic driver in Honey Brook.
Authorities stated he stopped the car on the intersection of Route 10 and Michael Road in West Caln Township.
Lt. Col. George Bivens stated O’Connor made a radio name indicating the traffic stop, which was the final communication obtained from him.
Investigators stated that inside seconds of approaching the car, the 32-year-old driver opened hearth, killing O’Connor on the scene.
