NBC has scheduled three back-to-back reveals in May to shut out its 51st season, beginning with Olivia Rodrigo doing double obligation as host and musical visitor on May 2. This will probably be Rodrigo’s first time as host and third time as musical visitor. The Grammy winner’s new album, you appear fairly unhappy for a woman so in love, will drop June 12.
Matt Damon returns for his third time as host on May 9 with musical visitor Noah Kahan for his second go-round. Oscar winner Damon subsequent will probably be seen in Christopher Nolan’s extremely anticipated The Odyssey, which hits theaters July 17. Grammy nominee Kahan’s fourth album, The Great Divide, will probably be launched April 24.
Will Ferrell, in his sixth time as host, will shut out the month on May 16, the season 51 finale, with Paul McCartney, returning for his fifth time as musical visitor. Emmy winner Ferrell exec produces and stars within the new comedy sequence The Hawk, which premieres this summer time on Netflix. McCartney’s new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, is set for launch May 29.
New episodes of SNL proceed this Saturday, April 11 with host Colman Domingo and musical visitor Anitta.
