- Jim Strick has been appointed as the brand new communications director for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA).
- Strick will start his new function on Sept. 28, working alongside present director Todd Clark till Clark’s retirement in 2027.
- He brings 29 years of expertise, together with his current place as communications director for the Neenah Joint School District.

Neenah Joint School District communications director Jim Strick has been named the subsequent communications director for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association.
The state’s governing physique for highschool sports activities introduced the hiring Aug. 24 and Strick is predicted to start his new job Sept. 28. Strick will work alongside present WIAA communications director Todd Clark till Clark’s retirement, which is about for Jan. 15, 2027.
Strick stated he nonetheless plans to stay in Neenah, which he known as a “special place.”
“I feel very grateful for everything the school district and community have done for me over the past 16 years,” he stated. “I still plan to live in Neenah and I’ll be at plenty of events around the Fox Valley.
“I’ve at all times been an enormous fan and supporter of highschool athletics, so it is a place I’ve coveted for a very long time. I really feel extraordinarily lucky and I’m wanting ahead to selling the colleges and athletes from throughout the state.”
Strick was awarded the Wisconsin School Communicator of the Year award from the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association. According to the news release from the WIAA, Strick brings 29 years of experience to the WIAA position and has been the communications director at Neenah since 2013. He has also been the communications director for the Fox Valley Association for the past 13 years, including the past two years as the conference’s co-commissioner.
He has been the public address announcer for numerous WIAA state tournament events, including baseball, boys and girls basketball, football, boys and girls volleyball, softball and wrestling.
“[Strick] brings an extensive and well-rounded background as a school communications director, athletic director, conference commissioner and more,” WIAA government director Stephanie Hauser stated in a information launch. “Most importantly, Jim understands the value of education-based athletics and shares our membership’s commitment to tell the powerful, positive stories of how high school athletics transform the lives of our student-athletes and strengthen our school communities statewide.”
