Nampa Mayor Rick Hogaboam has died following a medical emergency on Wednesday evening, city officers introduced.
Councilmember Sebastian Griffin advised KTVB the “medical emergency” occurred on the Treasure Valley Partnership assembly in Eagle.
“We ask the community to please keep his family and loved ones in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time,” a City of Nampa spokesperson stated. “As we begin to mourn this unbelievable loss, please provide grace while we navigate the loss of not only our mayor, but also our friend.”

Hogaboam was not too long ago elected as mayor, succeeding longtime mayor Debbie Kling.
He then served as Kling’s chief of employees from 2020 to 2023 and was subsequently appointed to his present function as Canyon County clerk in early 2024, as reported by KTVB’s information companions on the Idaho Press.
This is a growing information story and will probably be up to date when data turns into out there.
