Juan Soto was faraway from Friday’s game towards the Dodgers, because the Mets pinch-hit Jorge Polanco for the slugger within the sixth inning.
The Mets later introduced it was attributable to left calf soreness.
Soto has been dealing with the sore calf within the reverse leg that landed him on the IL earlier within the season. Soto has been restricted to DH duties since tweaking his calf, which is the place he began Friday. The left-handed slugger walked twice in his two at-bats and ran the bases, and there was no noticeable situation.

The Mets have used alternatives to get Soto off his ft of late — often in a one-sided contest — however Soto was pulled in a 1-1 game.
Interim supervisor Andy Green had mentioned Soto was wonderful previous to Friday’s sequence opener after staying away from him within the Mets’ sequence finale with the Brewers. The rationale was to give Soto two days to rest and be prepared for the homestand.
“We were just gonna stay away from him, try to give him 48 hours to get the calf thing completely behind him,” Green mentioned on the time. “He’s been able to be out there on it, but it has continued to be something that he’s dealt with on a minor level.”
