Mehta, 48, joins New Jersey after spending six seasons with the Florida Panthers- the final three serving as assistant common supervisor and head of analytics. He initially joined the Panthers in 2020 as vice chairman of hockey technique & intelligence. Mehta was a key a part of the Florida administration group that helped ship back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2024 and 2025, making the group simply the fourth within the final 30 years to realize consecutive championships.
