TUCSON, AZ (AZFamily) — A person accused of killing a Tucson police recruit is in custody, Pima County Sheriff’s Department officers confirmed to Arizona’s Family sister station KOLD.
Alex Barnett was wanted on a warrant for the homicide of Carlos Ramirez final week.

Barnett was discovered throughout a Pima County Regional SWAT Team operation close to Broadway Boulevard and Camino Seco in Tucson.
Ramirez, a 23-year-old Tucson Police Department recruit and former Pima County Sheriff’s Department corrections officer, was shot and killed in his residence Aug. 19. His fiancée was additionally shot and injured, authorities stated.
A second suspect has been arrested, and a 3rd was recognized.
