Welcome to FLORIDA TODAY’s dwell protection of the SpaceX Starlink 10-33 rocket launch from Florida! Liftoff has been delayed till no sooner than 10:20 a.m.
As a chilly entrance continues to maneuver by way of Florida, SpaceX is concentrating on Thursday morning for its subsequent Falcon 9 rocket launch from Cape Canaveral.
The launch is now set for no sooner than 10:20 a.m. March 19, from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. During this mission, a Falcon 9 rocket will carry the subsequent batch of SpaceX Starlink web satellites to orbit.
Upon liftoff, the Falcon 9 will journey on a northeast trajectory, rising the probability these north of the Cape might catch a glimpse of the rocket — if there’s a break in the clouds.
As for climate, the Space Force forty fifth Weather Squadron predicts a 60 to 75% probability of favorable circumstances throughout the launch window. Clouds are set to linger as the chilly entrance sweeps by way of the space.
SpaceX has till 10:35 a.m. to make the liftoff if wanted.
No Brevard County sonic booms will likely be heard, as eight and a half minutes after liftoff, the rocket’s booster will goal touchdown on the A Shortfall of Gravitas drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
