EXCLUSIVE: The Clark(e)s are aligning, as Jason Clarke (A House of Dynamite) has inked a deal to hitch Viola Davis in Ally Clark, a brand new thriller coming collectively at Amazon MGM Studios, on which we have been first to report final June.
No phrase but on the position to be performed by Clarke.
Written by Jose Ruisanchez and Irwin Winkler, with Phillip Noyce aboard to direct, Ally Clark takes us from the towering skyscrapers of New York City to the sweltering bayous of Louisiana and the icy peaks of Alaska, following investigator Ally Clark (Davis) as she embarks on a deadly inquiry into a world conglomerate following the suspicious dying of an in depth buddy.
Producers embrace Winkler Films’ Irwin Winkler, Charles Winkler, David Winkler, and Ruisanchez, and JuVee Productions’ Davis and Julius Tennon. JuVee’s Melanie Clark will exec produce alongside Ian Watermeier.
Clarke has been on a tear recently, signing on to star alongside Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo within the live-action Gundam film from Legendary, which can launch on Netflix, and reserving a task in Tom McCarthy’s starry new local weather convention drama for Sony Pictures Classics. Recently wrapping manufacturing on F.A.S.T., the Warner Bros. action-thriller penned by Taylor Sheridan, he’s coming off of turns within the Netflix political thriller A House of Dynamite, reteaming together with his Zero Dark Thirty director Kathryn Bigelow; Hulu’s restricted sequence Murdaugh: Death within the Family, the place he performs convicted assassin Alex Murdaugh; and Apple’s The Last Frontier.
Clarke is repped by Robert Stein Management, CAA, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
