HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The following faculties have introduced closures due to the storm impacting Hawaii by the weekend.
- Iolani School can be closed Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14. All lessons, occasions (each on- and off-campus), and athletic practices are canceled. The campus can be closed each days. Events scheduled for Sunday, March 15, will proceed as deliberate.
- Le Jardin Academy’s campus can be closed on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14. All lessons, after-school applications, and night actions are canceled.
- Maryknoll School will shut each campuses on Friday, March 13.
- Damien Memorial School can be closed Friday. All lessons, practices, conferences, and after-school actions scheduled for Friday are canceled. Athletic occasions, video games, practices, and tournaments are canceled by Saturday.
- Island Pacific Academy in Kapolei can be closed Friday, March 13 and is about to reopen Monday, March 23.
All O‘ahu, Kaua‘i, Maui County, and Hawaii Island public schools, and Hawaii State Department of Education offices will be closed Friday, March 13, in anticipation of severe weather conditions.
There will be no in-person instruction or extracurricular activities on March 13 on O‘ahu, Kauaʻi, Maui, Molokai, Lānaʻi, and Hawaii Island. Students and staff should not report to campuses or HIDOE offices unless specifically directed.
Students and teachers statewide are scheduled to be on spring break March 16-20.
University of Hawaii
All University of Hawaiʻi campuses across the state will be closed on Friday, March 13, due to severe weather expected to impact the state, including heavy rain, flash flooding, severe thunderstorms and high winds.
The closure includes all scheduled classes and events, including the OUTRIGGER Invitational men’s volleyball event and a Rainbow Wahine softball sport at UH Mānoa.
Chaminade University
Chaminade’s campus can be closed on Friday due to severe weather circumstances. Campus workplaces are scheduled to reopen Monday, March 16, except in any other case notified, school officers stated.
