Someone who scratched off a lottery ticket at a Westmoreland County Giant Eagle retailer is $1.5 million richer.

The Pennsylvania Lottery stated a successful ticket in the “$1,500,000 Super Star” game was offered at Giant Eagle on Towne Center Drive in Allegheny Township.

According to the lottery, the scratch-off recreation prices $30 for a ticket and provides prime prizes of $1.5 million.

“Scratch-Offs are distributed at random, meaning the Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold. The Lottery learns where winning tickets are sold only after a prize has been claimed,” lottery officers stated.

The winner has not been publicly recognized. The retailer will obtain a $10,000 bonus for promoting the successful ticket.
