No present menace to the general public
Romulus, Mich. – The FBI responded to a disturbance aboard a diverted flight at Detroit Metro Airport Sunday.
The Wayne County Airport Authority mentioned the flight is an American Airlines airplane.
The FBI’s Detroit discipline workplace confirmed the investigation and mentioned there isn’t any present menace to the general public.
American Airlines launched the next assertion: “American Airlines flight 2819 diverted to Detroit (DTW) due to a disruptive customer. The aircraft landed safely at DTW where law enforcement and medical personnel met the flight and the customer deplaned. We appreciate our customers for their patience and thank our crew for their professionalism.”
According to FlightAware, the flight to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago left John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City at 8:59 a.m. and was diverted, touchdown at DTW at 11:08 a.m.
The flight is anticipated to depart DTW for Chicago at 5:56 p.m. Sunday.
