Ex-Fleetwood Mac member Lindsey Buckingham attacked by woman in Santa Monica

Guitarist and vocalist Lindsey Buckingham, a former member of the storied rock band Fleetwood Mac, was attacked by a woman when he confirmed up for an appointment in Santa Monica, multiple law enforcement sources tell NBC4 Investigates.

When Buckingham entered the constructing, the woman described by authorities as a stalking suspect threw an unknown substance on the two-time Grammy winner and took off. Police have recognized the suspect, however no arrests have been reported early Wednesday morning.

The woman is understood to Buckingham, 76, from previous incidents, legislation enforcement sources stated. An arrest is predicted quickly, they added.

Authorities stated they imagine the woman came upon when and the place Buckingham had an appointment and confirmed up on the location. Buckingham was not injured.

Santa Monica police and the LAPD are working the case.
