Donnie Wahlberg Reveals Emotional Twist for Danny and Baez in Tonight’s ‘Boston Blue’

As for whether or not Danny’s New York City-based household will proceed to pop up in Season 2, which is already confirmed, Wahlberg says, “If we did a good job in Boston Blue, we don’t need as many guest stars in Season 2, but we can have them in very organic ways. There’s a guest star in the season finale that’s a surprise. It’s a cameo, basically, but it’s so authentic to the story that it made complete sense. Rather than stunt casting, we’re finding ways to make it truthful to the stories. Grandpa Reagan [Len Cariou] came back to help Danny get his shield number as his badge number. Moments like that are very authentic storylines. We will continue to find those.”
