EXCLUSIVE: Cameron Diaz and Stephen Merchant’s untitled romantic comedy has added Emmy winner Judith Light to the solid.
Light joins beforehand introduced Jake Lacy, Josh Segarra, Sherry Cola, Myra Lucretia Taylor, Fabrizio Guido, Lisa Gilroy, and Dustin Ybarra within the Amazon MGM Studios movie.
The Merchant- and John Butler-written function follows a workaholic Brit employed at an upscale New York resort (Merchant) who wants a spouse for appearances. He strikes a cope with a struggling stand-up comedian (Diaz) who’s determined for medical insurance. Their faux marriage begins as a transaction – however ends in a hilariously surprising romance.
Pic’s producers are Lee Eisenberg, Merchant, who directs, and Point Grey Pictures’ Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, and Josh Fagen. Natalie Sandy will government produce.
