NORWALK, Ohio — One very fortunate Ohio Lottery participant in Norwalk has simply received a prime prize value $3 million on the Wild Cash Tripler scratch-off recreation after shopping for the winning ticket from Miller’s Market at 117 Whittlesey Ave.
The winner, who was not publicly recognized, elected to take the lump sum choice of $1.5 million “and will receive $1,098,750.”
While he usually buys his lottery tickets at the similar store in the morning on his option to work, the Ohio Lottery says the man had stopped at Miller’s Market as a substitute to purchase some Roma tomatoes.
That’s when he purchased some scratch-off tickets.
After winning $20 on considered one of his tickets, he determined to place some that cash towards one other ticket — which was in the end the grand prize winner.
“He saw $120,000 on the ticket but was confused because the back of the ticket didn’t list that as a prize,” in response to the Ohio Lottery. “Then he scanned it and couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He won $120K/year for 25 years – $3 million! When he delivered the tomatoes and told his girlfriend she said, ‘Shut up!’ but then believed him because he was shaking.”
