NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Vanderbilt University Medical Center stated Monday that it was briefly unable to entry any patient medical records amid a system outage.
Vanderbilt telephone operations reported it was an impact of an outage of the Epic system, which maintains medical records for suppliers throughout the nation.
Amid the reported outage, medical suppliers had been unable to entry any of their sufferers’ records, per VUMC.
Epic stated in a press release to WSMV that it was “aware of one healthcare organization experiencing technical issues,” however declined to present additional particulars.
