When Russell Crowe filmed Robin Hood in Pembrokeshire

In 2009, the famed actor filmed a few of the battle scenes from 2010’s Robin Hood, directed by Ridley Scott, on Freshwater West seashore.

Hundreds of individuals, together with some Pembrokeshire residents, have been used for the scenes, in addition to dozens of horses.

Filming, based on our nostalgia group Our Pembrokeshire Memories, took 5 weeks and through this time Mr Crowe was seen having a meal at a pub in Carew, and confirmed his generosity by signing an image, and reportedly leaving a guitar and leaving workers with a £400 tip.
