BBC Four and iPlayer are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the landmark drama This Life, inviting viewers to revisit a collection that captured the spirit of a era and left a long-lasting mark on British tv.
First broadcast in 1996, This Life adopted a gaggle of younger attorneys sharing a home in south London as they navigated friendship, ambition and the complexities of their twenties.
Created by Amy Jenkins, the collection featured a forged together with Daniela Nardini, Andrew Lincoln, Jack Davenport, Amita Dhiri and Jason Hughes, whose contemporary, uncooked and unfiltered performances helped set up the drama as a cultural touchstone and one of many defining collection of the last decade. On Wednesday 18 March, 30 years to the day since its debut, Daniela Nardini will introduce the beginning of a repeat run of collection one on BBC Four at 10pm with each collection 1 and 2 and the +10 yr reunion particular all accessible on iPlayer from 6am the identical day.
