BBC The One Show host JB Gill has spoken out about why he and his spouse scapped plans to resume their wedding vows regardless of planning to take action

Former Strictly star and pop legend JB Gill has opened up on why he and his spouse Chloe scrapped plans to resume their wedding vows after 10 years of marriage.
JB, who danced with Welsh professional Amy Dowden within the 2024 collection of Strictly earlier than she needed to pull out attributable to damage, is again on The One Show internet hosting duties this week when he co-hosts with Alex Jones.
The 39-year-old dad-of-two shot to stardom in chart-topping pop band JLS however has now branched out into TV with appearances on Strictly, Celebrity Apprentice and as a daily co-presenter on the BBC’s nightly journal present.
Away from the highlight, JB is married to dancer Chloe having tied the knot in 2014 after 4 years of relationship. The couple met when Chloe danced with JLS and went on to marry on the Scottish Island of Bute together with his JLS bandmates Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and Oritse Williams in attendance.

The pair now have two kids – a son known as Ace and a daughter, Chiara. While JB described their wedding as “the best day of my life”, he scrapped plans to resume his vows with Chloe after a decade of marriage.
In an interview with The Sun after reaching the 10-year milestone in 2014 he admitted: “It was really weird because we always said 10 years.
“And listen, we’d have loved to have done it just to say that we did it, but it just didn’t quite feel right and I think we’re definitely in that place in life where it’s like we’re in the thick of it.”
JB went on: “We’re in the busy part of life, the kids are taking a lot of the focus and there’s not a lot of spare time and I think in the next ten years for example Ace will be 21, which is nuts, but I think at that stage when they’re sort of a lot more independent and doing their own thing, maybe at uni or at work, got their own house or whatever, then that’ll be the time to sort of get together and have some time for ourselves.”
Meanwhile, JB’s The One Show co-host Alex not too long ago marked 10 years since she wed her husband Charlie Thomson duirng a lavish ceremony at Cardiff Castle.
Posting a photograph of their 2015 New Year’s Eve ceremony as she holidayed in New Zealand she stated: “Today, we rejoice 10 years as husband and spouse.
“We married within the northern hemisphere so it was solely proper to mark a decade, with our youngsters within the southern hemisphere (coronary heart emoji). It’s all about compromise (laughing emoji).
“We are so grateful to our family and friends who made that day extremely special and continue to make life a lot of fun!”
