In 2010, the enterprise was awarded a silver Mayor’s Award for Businesses by Shrewsbury Town Council.

Mr Kirkham additionally had robust hyperlinks to the city’s horticultural heritage by his household connection to broadcaster and gardener Percy Thrower. He served as previous chairman and vp of the Shrewsbury Flower Show.
