Trevor is thought to have left the band – famous for songs including Under The Moon Of Love – in May 2009 when he was aged 62 after suffering from ill health.
Showaddywaddy were formed in 1973 when two groups, Choise and the Golden Hammers, merged in Leicester. Trevor was a member of Choice, alongside Dave Bartram, Al James, and Romeo Challenger.
Because it came from two bands, the new group was large – it had two vocalists, two drummers, two guitarists, and two bassists. It went on to specialise in performing hits from the 1950s and 1960s, plus original material.
Showaddywaddy additionally received one programme on New Faces, the Britain’s Got Talent of its day, and had a BBC TV particular in Christmas 1980.
