Samuel West, of All Creatures Great and Small, is at the moment showing in a brand new Channel 5 present.
Sam and Ade Go Birdwatching follows West and his buddy Adrian Edmondson, of Alien: Earth and A Spy Among Friends, as they journey the nation searching for birds.
The first episode, which aired final week, adopted their adventures in Cornwall.
The next instalment will air at 8pm on Tuesday and present them on the lookout for pink-footed geese in Norfolk.
Over the weekend, West, 59, son of the late Timothy West and Prunella Scales, spoke to the Daily Express about how a lot his dad and mom would have loved seeing him in a wildlife-focused mission.
“I believe it might chime to mum’s pursuits,” he told the newspaper. “She launched me to the novel Swallows and Amazons and to large walks within the woods.
“The truth I spend a superb period of time in nature would please her.
“I also took my dad birding a few times and he was touchingly into it.”
He added that they filmed their Norfolk episode of Sam and Ade Go Birding only a week after his mum died.
“I never thought I wouldn’t do it, as she always believed the show must go on,” the star shared.
“And she would have needed me to movie it.
“I didn’t understand how I might really feel, however I used to be in a spot doing one thing I beloved with any individual (Ade) I knew can be delicate and loving to the scenario. It was an actual consolation.
“We’d been in a church in Norfolk speaking about loss of life and dad and mom and abruptly, some pink-footed geese on their solution to roost flew over the church.
“It was probably the most extraordinary second.
“You couldn’t have deliberate it.”
