West Mercia Police have been called at round 7.15am this morning (Monday, March 23) to a report of a person with a knife strolling into Waseley Hills High School in Rubery.
According to police, officers have been deployed and have been ready to find the person and set up that he had picked up a pair of scissors discovered exterior the school.
Police say that there was ‘no malicious intent’ and the person is a part of a development group engaged on the school grounds.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police mentioned: “Officers were deployed to the area, the man was located, and it was established he had picked up a pair of scissors found outside the school, and it was clear that there was no malicious intent, and he is part of the construction team working on the school grounds.”
Waseley Hills High School have now confirmed that the school will stay closed immediately after an preliminary assertion acknowledged that it had been closed due to an ‘ongoing’ incident.
