Lady Penny Lancaster has revealed that husband Sir Rod Stewart “is in the doctors all the time” after overcoming a number of health challenges.
The rocker, 81, was identified with thyroid cancer in 2000 and prostate cancer in 2017, acheiving remission for each.
He also underwent knee replacement and ankle fusion surgery extra lately on account of soccer accidents and regardless of the temporary points with strep throat and Covid, he stays lively, touring, and specializing in health.
Rod’s wife Penny returned to the panel of Loose Women on Wednesday (February 25) alongside Christine Lampard, Gloria Hunnfiord and Nadia Sawala.
The girls kicked off the ITV daytime programme by debating the subject ‘have you ever postpone visiting the GP?’. As Gloria opened up on her current hospital go to, Penny stated she thinks males are the “worst culprits” for not going to see the physician.

The mannequin stated: “When it comes to men in particular I think that they’re the worst culprits. My husband, who is 81 now, has just gone off on tour again, would you believe it? Fitness freak, always been fit and healthy.

She continued: “He takes weights to the underside of pool. He stated it was Frank Sinatra who advised him to assist with the lung capability, swim underwater, prepare underwater, in order that’s why he does it.”
Elswhere in the episode, Gloria revealed she has been told she’s “profoundly anaemic”. She explained: “I needed to have three pints of blood.
“My blood pressure was very low but I felt fine. I’ve since spent four weeks trying to get by energy back up, ironically enough.
“They gave me the blood after which they stated my blood strain was very low. To lower a protracted story brief they put a digital camera down my throat nearly every week in the past and found that I’ve an ulcer.
“It’s all fixable so I’m very grateful but I think a lot of people do put off. It’s not that I’m paranoid about my health or anything, but I’ve always been proactive but I think a lot of men are pretty paranoid about going to see the doctor and it’s a big issue.”
