The announcement comes forward of the discharge of Rita’s forthcoming new album Sound of a Woman due for launch on May 1st.
The most visionary and revealing work to date in her ever-evolving musical cannon, forthcoming album Sound of a Woman was co-produced by Rita and nine-time Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton) and recorded on the historic RCA Studio A in Nashville.
With Sound of a Woman, Rita explores the arc of a lady’s life as half unfiltered memoir, half nuanced commentary of the world round her.
The album strikes past gender bounds and cuts to the uncooked reality of the human expertise, whereas offering moments of catharsis, reflection, and unabashed pleasure alongside the best way.
A revelatory excavation of the self, Sound of a Woman bears a sonic depth that absolutely matches the scope of Wilson’s soul-baring songwriting.
Ahead of the album’s launch, Rita has already launched the title monitor and lead single ‘Sound Of A Woman’ alongside the official music video which you’ll be able to watch HERE, in addition to the empowering ballad ‘Michelangelo’ accompanied by a surprising official music video shot in New York City and directed by Steven Sebring (Patti Smith) which you’ll be able to watch HERE.
