University of Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy missed all of final season with a torn ACL in his proper knee. He could miss “extensive” time in 2026 as a rookie within the NFL.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Media studies that staff medical staffs are involved McCoy could want another surgery to restore a bone plug in McCoy’s knee. The bone plug was used to restore a cartilage defect.
McCoy is rated as one of the highest cornerback prospects and a possible first-round choose.
He could fall, although, as Will Johnson did final 12 months over issues about his knee. Johnson fell out of the primary spherical, going to the Cardinals within the second spherical — forty seventh total.
McCoy ran a 4.37 within the 40-yard sprint at Tennessee’s Pro Day final month and had a 38-inch vertical and a 10-foot, 7-inch broad leap.
